    but to be honest i don’t think walkie talkies are appropriate for the 16 year old. . . if you could afford it and didn’t care how much to spend, something like a nintendo ds or some type of game would be great

    No. If I was a 12 year old boy I’d love walkie talkies, but 16 is getting a little old for that. If you can get him a gift card, that might be the best idea.

  5. Yeah! Hell my brother is nearly 18 and would kill for some walkie talkies. Then again, considering the potentail for convincing students in his flat that their room is haunted, understandable.

  6. If you kept the receipt you might want to return it. Walkie talkies are mostly for children under age 12.
    16 year old boys like hoodie jackets, sports equipment footballs,basketballs,soccer balls etc. . ,
    they love music and video games and even DVD’s.
    He’s in a children’s home so he would probably appreciate something that is personal for himself that doesn’t have to be shared with others.

  8. Of course it’s alright. However, it’s probably not the most age-appropriate gift for a young man that’s 16 years old. That said, he’ll find some way to use and get enjoyment out of them with his friends.

  9. Me and my brother had walkie-talkies when we were ten. Walkie-talkies are a gift that men either by for themselves or ask for specifically.

  10. well, personally i would not want walkie talkies but it really depends on what type of person he is. I would suggest getting hima giftcard to like target or fye, or something :] so he can pick it out on his own. or maybe an ipod. but i dont know how much you are willing to spend
